🔥 Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in 2025?! Yes! In this video, I upgraded my old Galaxy Note 5 from Android 7 to Android 13 using an unofficial LineageOS custom ROM — and the results are honestly surprising! 😲✨
The Note 5 is still a powerful device even today, and with a clean, lightweight custom ROM, it becomes much smoother, faster, and far more usable than the stock Samsung Experience UI. 🚀
🧩 What’s Working Perfectly?
✔️ Smooth & clean UI
✔️ Great performance for daily use
✔️ Wi-Fi, hotspot, Bluetooth (basic), calls & messaging
✔️ S-Pen basic functionality ✏️
✔️ GCAM / GCam Go working for photos & videos
✔️ Display features like adaptive brightness, dark mode, high touch sensitivity
✔️ Fingerprint unlock (hardware still slow)
✔️ Offline gaming works great 🎮
✔️ YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Messenger run smoothly
⚠️ What’s Not Working / Limitations
❌ No Samsung stock camera app
❌ Limited camera features (no pro mode, front camera max 1080p)
❌ No Samsung bloat-free features like App Lock, Dual Apps, etc.
❌ No SafetyNet → Bank apps won’t work
❌ No heart rate sensor support
❌ No S-Pen Air Command features
❌ Online gaming performance is weak (COD, PUBG etc.)
📸 Camera Quality
The GCAM/GCAM Go app works well with:
🎥 4K rear video
🤳 1080p front video
📷 Good daylight photos but limited overall features.
🔋 Battery & Usage
Battery backup is surprisingly decent, RAM management is stable, and the phone feels much lighter compared to the original Experience UI. Perfect as a secondary phone in 2025! ⚡📱
