How the change to the CDP connection mode can succeed is what we would like to demonstrate.
▬ What are the advantages of CDP driver for you? ▬▬▬
1. Performance improvements compared with the existing WebDriver connection mode. The new mode is overwhelmingly faster then the WebDriver connection mode, and sometimes even faster than the QF-Driver connection mode. In our internal tests we see between 30-500% improvement on the test-time.
2. We plan to deprecate the support of WebDriver Browser connection mode for Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge und Opera. Chrome/Edge 92 and Opera 78 will impose multiple restrictions on WebDriver which restrict the communication between the browser and QF-Test. We will do our best to circumvent the impact, but some functionality (e.g. record and control of Javascript dialogs) cannot be supported the way it is possible until now, and testing time will increase slightly. In CDP connection mode, these restriction do not apply, so this is another argument for CDP connection modes.
3. The CDP connection modes the complexity in handling file upload and download dialogs - these can simply be recorded and controlled. Actually many native functions can be controlled via CDP and we plan to take full advantage of those.

Hybrid applications with Java and Web (embedded browser): e.g. JxBroswer, SWT-Browser, JavaFX WebView components, Webswing an JPro. Android applications can be tested on real devices and with the Emulator from Android Studio.
Desktop Windows applications like Win32, .NET (C#/C++/…), Windows Forms, WPF, Windows Apps and Qt applications or also PDF documents can be tested comfortably in the QF-Test manner.
You can do GUI Tests, acceptance tests, regression tests, load tests, keyword driven testing, data driven testing. Enhance your tests with the common scripting languages Jython, Groovy and Javascript and achieve complex requirements.
