Icons in Surgery: Patricia K. Donahoe, MD, FACS
Patricia K. Donahoe, MD, FACS was the first female surgical resident in Boston and the first female professor of surgery at Harvard University. She is currently the Director of Pediatric Surgical Research Laboratories and Chief Emerita of Pediatric Surgical Services at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Donahoe is celebrated for her contribution to the understanding of the molecular and genetic causes of congenital anomalies, with over 230 peer-reviewed publications.
