I always found it annoying that HS2’s standard animations are difficult to combine with FK/IKs.

The HS2 Animation Ripper makes this possible.

The tool converts all available animations—after you’ve selected the timeline position and duration—into the timeline using as few IK/FK keyframes as possible, making them available for manipulation there.

You decide whether you want to work with FKs or IKs or by selecting the FK/IK control in Studio Neo beforehand. Of course, sometimes there’s no choice, and to fully capture an animation, you’ll need to set the necessary IKs/FKs active to make it work.

In the case of highly complex animations, it has also become clear that implementing them using pure FK is significantly more precise than using IK.

This isn't a problem for regular animations, but for intense dance scenes, pure FK implementation is the best choice.

Nevertheless, it seamlessly integrates the standard with the Timeline Tool, allowing you to create complex animations much faster and better than capturing all movements manually.

Since some IK coordinates are interpolated in a very complex manner based on AI parameters, the tool requires relatively few keyframes; however, you may need to make some minor adjustments for very complex animations (such as a sexy dance) or use the pure FK key-structure.

Good to know: Studio Neo cannot capture every change in the timeline. Unfortunately, there are limitations, particularly when it comes to Blendshapes and physics. To compensate, the tool creates an animation entry that starts exactly in sync with the set keyframes. This ensures that movements that cannot be captured remain synchronized in the sequence. If you make significant changes to the generated keyframes, you can choose to disable them.

The result is very smooth in both cases.

For most simple animations (and let’s be honest, that’s what we’re usually dealing with), IK, FK or IK&FK works perfectly.
