Symbol Notes
Symbol Notes allow you to keep a personal log of ideas and comments about individual symbols you follow or invest in.
With Barchart’s Symbol Notes, you now have access to your own personal thoughts, trading ideas and analysis for a symbol on any page on the website!
You can also set High and Low Flags to VISUALLY alert you as you work on the Barchart site that the symbol's Last price has gone above or below the values you set.
Compiling notes, relevant details and comments on symbols you follow can help any trader who is looking to improve their trading results. Think of your notes as your trader’s journal … they can help you recognize trends, spot past performance details you’ve recorded, and allow you to make more informed decisions in the future.
When you use flags to set target prices, a quick scan of any page on the Barchart site will show you if the security is above or below the values you have set within the symbol notes. Red means the price is lower than my target. Green means the price is higher than my target. And my notes can remind me why I set those limits and what action I might want to consider.
