Ashwin started his first company Ebusiness Initiative at the age of fifteen in order to finance his gaming server project. The company specialized in online advertising and rebranded as OrganicApex by the year 2008. With OrganicApex, Ashwin has successfully bootstrapped from zero to multiple million dollars in revenue running a digital marketing agency. In 2011, OrganicApex launched its first product and is trying to create multiple platforms to disrupt online advertising. He has in his five years of being an entrepreneur done everything from sweeping the floor, to writing production code to building sales teams in multiple geographies. Ashwin's first office was in his uncle's sink godown where he had to literally clean a part of the godown to accommodate his home computer. His first employee was his house-maid who did not know how to use computers. He believes that bootstrapping your startup is the best way of getting started and he is also a part of various entrepreneur networks and forums to advise budding entrepreneurs. He has spoken at various industry conferences and national institutes including the IIMs and IITs.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
