Gigafactory Texas on 7 August 2023! This is where Model Y’s and Cyber Truck production happens!
Hot and humid morning at the site today, but still very active. I even saw what seemed to be an employee evacuation drill to the north parking lot area. At the battery cathode plant, another level of the large platform assembly has been added just outside the tall opening on the east side of the structure, with at least one more level yet to go!
In the video introduction, I discuss my updated Giga Texas maps and main factory section identifications, helping the viewer understand where everything is located on the over 3,600 acre site! I also discuss more details about the crash test facility construction taking place on the east side of the battery cathode plant.

West side of the highway shows continued fast construction, with footings, rebar and concrete being poured throughout the site! Plumbing is being installed as well in the large pit excavation on the north end of the new End-of-Line facility construction site. We also fly north and check out Tesla Road construction work on the intersection area with FM973.
Megapack site shows most of the work on the north end where the steel assembly, transformers and trenching work continues. The south end of the electrical switchyard shows crews busy with forms and rebar for the roof of the underground vault.
East side multi-level parking garage site shows more work for the diverted outfall channel around the prepared graded area, and work on the existing outfall channel seems to be in preparation for filling it with dirt to span the two large clearing areas.
Northeast of the battery cathode plant, a new area of tree removal and dirt excavation is expanding, and this is near where the rental equipment lot and repair facilities have been located for over the last year.
East side of the battery cathode shows work on the crash testing facility, specifically on the south new slab area with forms, rebar and moisture barrier where the electronic equipment and motors will be installed for the crash testing pull cable. Also, the underground vaulted area and pit where the crash wall and camera systems will be installed was getting a lot of attention from crews this morning.
Many other interesting sights and discoveries in the images and video later today!
