In response to a question on my last live broadcast, I responded to criticisms of Atatürk. I explained the chronological state of the Ottoman Empire in the 19th century, the reign of Selim III and the Nizam-ı Cedid movement, the struggle for reform, the Ottoman-Russian Wars, the struggle for Kavalali Mehmet Ali Pasha, and the chain of events leading up to World War I. I explained why Atatürk's reforms were implemented quickly, in a Western-style, and top-down manner.

Please watch with common sense and feel free to comment. My intention is not to offend anyone. I am simply trying to foster a healthy discussion. Much love and respect :)

I would be very grateful if you would like and comment on the video. Thank you very much in advance.
