It can seem pretty simple to recreate sunlight with lighting, but there's a few things to consider to have it feeling realistic - on a conscious, or subconscious level. The inverse square law helps us to put these considerations into perspective, whilst allowing us to learn about lighting modifiers that can be employed to help achieve this kind of realism in our lighting.
