Negative Rigging, it can be done efficiently with or without hardware. Negative rigging is the technical term, however we in the tree industry have come to know it as, "Butt-Checking". It in fact is a very violent form of rigging down pieces. During this process, extreme forces can be generated on the spar, the hardware, and can be hard on the climber's body. Negative rigging can be performed safely by taking safety measures. In this video, Abdon covers basics and some of his processes when it comes to negative rigging on the job site!
