Setting up PINIO with INAV

In this video we take a look at how to get PINIO operating in INAV. This is a useful function for operating devices remotely. Devices include the Caddx Peanut and Walnut action cameras, among other things.

For example, I we can use it to power on, start recording, stop recording, and then power off a Caddx Peanut. This video shows a basic setup for doing this. I have also created an article that shows how to make a far more accurate way to trigger the short and long presses needed to control the device. You may notice in the video that when I demonstrate with the momentary switch, it's not that easy to guess the timing. Using the logic switches, we can guarantee that short and long presses will work as required.
