Be advised; this method will expose you to free falls on Via Ferrata!
It can also harm you by making the Via Ferrata Set useless.
While the method can aid in specific circumstances it also can expose you to big danger by not presenting any guarantee of personal protection.
This being said, this video is my reply to a comment I recently got from a subscriber asking what she can do in the future when she will be faced with a sharp vertical segment on Via Ferrata, she cannot solve using her arms and legs.
Her need to know comes from a recent event when she tried multiple times to get over a vertical segment with slippery holds.
To make the suggested solution even closer to a real-life example I did it myself on a very difficult bolder to solve where holds for your feet and arms are not obvious or not existent at all.
I hope this helps.
This video was recorded at Baia de Fier on the Săritoarea Ursului Via Ferrata (a short and quick Via Ferrata that is easy all the way up except the boulder that will put anyone in difficulty).
I chose this location because it was easy to get to (it literally took mee 5 minutes to get to the boulder) and it has (in my opinion) all I needed to record this demonstration video without too much hustle (ten minutes after I finished recording it started to heavily rain for the reminder of the day).
