If heater fan stages 1, 2, and 3 are not working, but only stage 4 is working, you may have the same problem. The fan motor has drawn excessive current due to a stuck bearing, damaging the thermal fuse.
The fuse is located on a part called a resistor. The old part is cut and replaced with a new one. This way, all fan stages become operational. Here, three different resistors are connected in series, and as the stage switch is turned, the resistors are deactivated sequentially. This thermal fuse and resistors are connected in series. Stage 4 is directly connected and independent of the thermal fuse.
The car I had the heater fan repaired in here is a 2006 Peugeot Partner. By the way, those who are not skilled or confident should not attempt this. Some expertise is required. You may have knowledge but if you don't have experience, don't do it.
