Hades on Steam Deck: Trackpad cursor-aiming control demo (using Mouse Region mode)
This is effectively a Deck version of the Joypad + Mouse scheme used by known Hades community member "Jerds" @jerds9293 :

It uses a fullscreen "Trackpad as Mouse Region" setup, similar to the one I use for other 2D action games such as Noita and Synthetik, as explained here:

Hades has pretty great support for mixed input (besides the usual glyph-switching). Also, you get to keep aim assist if you wish, unlike many other games when you switch to a mouse-based scheme.
Full disclosure: I'm a relative noob who doesn't have time to put in many hours into Hades. Many pros would probably consider this setup unnecessary...perhaps even blasphemous, and against the spirit of the game.
It certainly feels great to play it this way, though, so I guess if I'm wrong, I don't want to be right, as they say :) Consider this a proof-of-concept: if a more seasoned player is willing to try this, I would love to see the results!
