00:00 Intro
Hello everyone, in today’s video, we will show you how to reverse image search. Do you want to identify or investigate someone like Nev and Max or Kamie on MTV's "Catfish"? Well, you've come to the right place! In this video, we will show how to perform a reverse image search in 3 different search engines: Google, Bing, and Yandex. Let's get this party started!
00:29 Google Reverse Image Search
First, fire up images.google.com on your desktop. In the search bar, click the camera icon with the alt' Search by image.' This will bring up a new pop-up window with two choices. The first option is 'Paste Image URL,' which allows you to paste the URL that leads to a picture you found online. Option 2 is 'Upload an image,' enabling you to use a photo from your computer as the search item. After inputting the URL or uploading the file in the Google reverse image search, you'll see the relevant results right away.
01:10 Image Reverse Search in Bing
It's always worthwhile noting that there are other search engines out there. Bing's reverse image search tool for desktop, dubbed Visual Search, works similarly. Click the Visual Search button in the Bing search bar. It is the dot that is encircled by four corner lines. A pop-up menu will open. This menu will give you three reverse image search options to choose from:
Upload: This allows you to drag an image from your computer into the box and upload it. You also have the option to upload several photos at once.
URL: Search by pasting the image's URL.
Take a photo: this enables you to use your webcam to take a picture.
Check out your reverse image search results. Voila!
02:00 Yandex Picture Finder
Yandex is a Russian search engine that can also perform a reverse lookup. Here's how to do it. Navigate to Yandex Images. On the Yandex homepage, select the 'images' option from the menu above the search bar. To the right of the search box, click the camera icon. You'll be given two options: upload a file (or drag and drop) or enter a URL. Choose your option and the results will appear shortly. It's never been easier to perform a reverse image search!
