Bernina Express “Swiss Alps” (St. Moritz-Tirano)
One of the best train journeys in the world is aboard the Bernina Express, a panoramic train that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the heart of the Swiss Alps, we'll travel from St. Moritz (known as the summit of the world) to Tirano. A wonderful experience that we highly recommend.
The journey between Tirano and St. Moritz includes fourteen stops, covering approximately 65 kilometers. Many passengers hop on and off at these stops to begin or complete one of the beautiful hiking trails in the area.
Some of the magical natural landscapes that can be admired from the train include the Morteratsch Glacier, the lakes of Lej Pitschen, Lej Nair, and Lej Bianco, and the spectacular Brusio Viaduct. The panoramic views of the Alpine region are truly unique.
