2017 was a remarkable year of growth and innovation for Airobotics. We made significant strides in expanding our operations, entering new markets, and achieving key technological milestones.
We are proud to announce that we have now completed over 30,000 fully automated drone flights, showcasing the reliability and efficiency of our technology.
In terms of regulation, we achieved a groundbreaking milestone by receiving the world's first approval for fully autonomous drone flights in Israel. Additionally, we obtained BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) certification in Australia, expanding our operational capabilities in the region.
To support our continued growth and meet increasing demand, we secured $42.5 million in Series C funding, bringing our total funding to date to $71 million.
On the technological front, we introduced the next-generation Airbase docking station with enhanced features such as climate control, improved safety mechanisms, and smarter maintenance. We also launched a new generation of drones with enhanced safety features, a 50% increase in flight time, and the ability to operate in rain and high winds.
Our data capabilities were significantly enhanced with the introduction of 3D modeling using photogrammetry and LiDAR, as well as the integration of a 30x optical zoom camera with image recognition capabilities.
We expanded our manufacturing facilities and operational capabilities, building a climate chamber for extreme weather testing and establishing a 24/7 global control center for remote monitoring and support.
Airobotics expanded globally in 2017, opening our first international office in Australia and initiating system deployments in Chile and the US.
Our team also grew significantly, expanding from 80 to 202 employees.
In Australia, our main office in Kardinya, Western Australia, serves as a hub for demoing our technology, assembling drones, and operating our systems remotely. We also have teams in Brisbane and Melbourne.
We successfully deployed our drone systems in various industries worldwide, including mining sites and seaports.
2017 was a year of tremendous progress, and we are excited to continue pushing the boundaries of drone technology and delivering innovative solutions in 2018 and beyond.
