GMTK Game Jam 2021 Dev Log
This Dev log shows the creation of Boxxy Bros. Which was our little indie game submission to the GMTK Game Jam.
This was a 48 hour Jam, but we wasted the first day on an idea that got changed, so we
Made Boxxy Bros in 12 hours for the GMTK Game Jam 2021.
Made by the Inexperienced VuVuu Inc. Duo-Squadron, 1 Artist (KaeGore) and 1 coder/musicianist (Teritian)
All Code, Art, and Music was made during the Jam, Sound effects were snatched elsewhere. A Video of the Process will be uploaded within the next few days to the VuVuu Inc YouTube Channel.
The Theme was Joined Together, we took that in the literal sense of two characters being tethered to each other. One of the characters gets controlled by the player, while the other flings its self around on the chain acting as a wrecking ball, to do damage to the ever-spawning slimes.
Try to get the highest score, there isn't an actual scoreboard, because we don't know how to do that, but yeah :)
The game is a very simple idea, that could be expanded upon in the future to be a little more complex.
