In this video, we are unboxing and reviewing my Forrest Gump Funko Pop.
Forrest Gump is an American film that was released in 1994. The movie chronicled a span of 30 years (from the 1950s through the early 1980s) of the life of Forrest Gump, an intellectually disabled man memorably portrayed by Tom Hanks in an unlikely story that earned critical praise, large audiences all over the world, and six Academy Awards.
Forrest Gump was based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom. The movie has a warm, inspirational, and funny spirit that made it a favorite of many viewers, though there are others who find it clichéd. Tom Hanks won a rare second consecutive best actor Oscar award for his portrayal of Gump.
Director Robert Zemeckis used computer-generated effects to insert Forrest into actual and historical scenes, including meetings with presidents and celebrities, and used a “greatest hits” sound track to evoke a sense of time and place.
Forrest Gump is the story of a man who lives a very remarkable and full life in spite of his slow-wittedness. As his life unfolds, he becomes a college football star, Medal of Honor-winning soldier, successful shrimp boat entrepreneur and a man in love with his first friend, Jenny.
The film won six Academy Awards, including best picture, best director, best adapted screenplay, best film editing and best visual effects.
