How to Insert Images in your Google Spreadsheet Cells - Updated 2021
In this video, you will learn how to insert an image in a cell in Google Sheets.
If you’re a frequent user of Google Sheets, you probably already know that you can insert images from the Insert Image menu option. This doesn’t actually insert images into a cell, which is often what people are trying to do. Here's how to do it.
Normally, you just click the insert menu and then select image. You are given options on how to insert an image using this method. You can either upload an image, take a snapshot, or even by pasting the URL of your desired image if you searched it on the net. I’ll go and use the URL.
However, what you are presented is a floating image just like this. (As you can observe, the image is not attached to a cell, even on a row or column.
This is quite useful for some applications, but what if you want to insert and image into a specified cell, say, Column D Row 10?
You can do this simply by using the image function. Click the cell you where want to insert the image, type =image(“paste the url”). Now you have it.
