Started this beat with a catchy, repetitive chord melody with my go to Purity Arena Piano I've been using a lot lately. The key to this melody was the repetition, particularly with the top line, that causes some minor tension as the chords change that give the melody some nice emotion and feeling.
Next, added in a couple of layers of omnisphere with the same melody, but added a half-time effect on both of those to lower the pitch and give a slightly different feel the melody. To round it out, I added an ElectraX arp that brought in a lot of fun energy for the high end of the beat. I usually don't use too high pitch of instruments, but I went for it and really liked it on this beat. Of course, still rolling off the higher frequencies to avoid any harsh sounds.
Lastly, added in some bumpin', bouncy drums to bring this beat to life. And finally, the mastering chain of 2 Parametric EQ 2's with the 30hz x 18k hz cut preset, and then two of the Multiband Compressor 2.4db Master Presets. That Multiband Compressor preset is super dope, and a lot of videos recently by a variety of YouTube producers outline its use and suggest using it in some way in your mastering chain.
