036 [DataDisintegrator] refactoring the mess written yesterday
This is #36 in my series of live (Twitch) streams focused on resurrecting a binary file parser project of mine and porting it to Rust.
Around 2018 I wrote DataDisintegrator, a tool for parsing binary files, where you can describe the format of the file to parse using a domain-specific language I made that was inspired by the ISO/IEC MPEG-4 format specifications.
In these streams, recoded in 2023, I work on revisiting the old project, understanding what I had written 5 years previously, fixing any bugs I run into, and eventually port the project to Rust and add a nice user interface to it.
