mixing and recreating Elvis's "Blue Suede Shoes" in 10 plug-ins...or less
For a short film called "Graceland," I had to completely recreate Elvis's "Blue Suede Shoes" so we could use the song in the movie. It costs $$ to use a song in a movie, but it costs WAY LESS if you get the rights to the MUSIC and redo the recording yourself.

Honestly, I only used the SSL channel EQ to seem "cool" and use what "they MIGHT have used", but most of this could be shaped with standard Pro Tools EQ.
