Palia does work with game porting toolkit and runs really smooth.
However, it stutters quite a bit whenever going into new areas, probably some shader compilation going on. You can see this in the video whenever I switch graphic settings, it stutters quite a bit - then smooths out.

Here's the "not a tutorial" bullet points of what I did to get it working.

Ventura
1) downloaded PaliaLauncher.exe from website after getting in to closed beta
2) downloaded parallels, UTM or VMWare should also work fine, I just got the parallels free 14 day trial

Parallels
3) Ran PaliaLauncher.exe in parallels to download game files

Ventura
4) (optional) created a separate partition for MacOS Sonoma
5) downloaded and installed Sonoma on that partition and copied over the game files to Sonoma

Sonoma
6) Downloaded Whisky through homebrew
7) Launched an .exe deep inside game files:
Client/Palia/Binaries/Win64/PaliaClient-Win64-Shipping.exe
This is the only one I got working, it skips the launcher.
8) When you launch it'll ask you something about AMD drivers, just click no

Current graphics settings (haven't played around with it too too much)
16" MacBook Pro with M1 Max
Native resolution: 3456x2234
Epic (highest) preset
Haven't played with the overlay much so I don't know exact FPS numbers, but I would guess I'm getting around 35-42 fps after having run through all the areas at least once.
