Christophe Clivaz is an associate professor at the Institute of Geography and Sustainability at the University of Lausanne, Sion campus. After a bachelor's degree in political science (University of Lausanne) and a postgraduate diploma in management and public policy analysis (University of Geneva), he completed his studies with a doctorate in public administration at the University of Lausanne. His current research focuses on governance issues in tourist destinations and the comparative analysis of tourism development policies. He is also interested in public policies with an impact on tourism. He teaches in the Master's program in Tourism Studies and is responsible for the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Innovation and Sustainable Tourism. Among his numerous publications on tourism, the book "Winter Tourism" was released in late 2015. "The Climate Challenge," which he co-authored and which was published in the Swiss Knowledge series.
