Learn how to insert mathematical equations in Google Docs using the built-in Equation Editor. Ideal for homework, reports, or academic papers. Google Docs offers a built-in equation editor to help you add mathematical and scientific formulas. To insert an equation, go to Insert and Equation. A new equation toolbar will appear, allowing you to choose from letters, operators, Greek letters, and functions. Click to insert symbols and type your formula. For nested fractions, superscripts, subscripts, or more complex expressions, use the equation toolbar’s templates. You can also manually type formulas and then format parts as superscript or subscript if needed. This makes Google Docs suitable for thesis work, math assignments, and professional reports requiring precise equations.
