The Reading Strategy That Helps You Pass the GED
Having trouble remembering what you read? You're not alone — and you're not stuck.
In this video, I introduce a reading strategy I created called GRASP. It’s designed to help GED and HiSET students (and anyone else!) read with more focus, remember key ideas, and answer questions more accurately.
Here’s what GRASP stands for:
G – Glance at the text, titles, headings, and visuals
R – Review the questions first
A – Actually read the passage
S – Select the best answer
P – Proofread and check your work
Whether you’re preparing for your test or just trying to improve your reading skills, this simple technique will help you stay focused and understand more.
