The Sacred Cenote is located on the north part of Chichen Itza, this is a huge sinkhole surrounded by incredible vegetation. It is considered sacred due to the activities made by the Mayans, where they throw relinquished bodies into the waters covered with headdresses and jewelry, as an offering to their god.
