A guide to changing game settings or how to change stack size
So, let's start by deciding whether you want vanilla settings or a little convenience. You've probably noticed how quickly your inventory fills up when looting, especially when certain items stack by 10, 50, 250, or 500, and there are several such stacks in your inventory. Personally, I chose a little convenience while staying within vanilla settings.
Now I'll try to explain how you can change the maximum stack size. It's up to you to decide how much you want to increase the maximum stack size.
So, where to start:
1. Go to the game folder: \SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\7 Days To Die\Data\Config
All changes to the game will be made in this folder. Of course, I don't force you to use Sublime Text 3, which I use. You can use a regular notepad (search with Ctrl + F).
2. In the Config folder, look for the "items" file. Open it with notepad or drag the file into Sublime Text 3.
Press Ctrl + F and enter "item id="(your desired id)"
Find the line "property name="Stacknumber" value="1000"/
Stacknumber" value="1000" 1000 is the maximum stack size. Change it to the desired value and that's it.
Next, select the next item. Once you've changed all the necessary items, close the window and save the changes.
Let's take another example: Cobblestones: item id="1322" name="cobblestones"
Find it, change the value from 1000 to the desired number and that's it.
As a reminder, you can find all the necessary items and their IDs in the description or in the developer console. Find the desired item and look up its ID number.
After making all the changes, close and save the file with your changes.
So, how do you change the character's maximum level? The game initially sets the limit to level 200.
In the same folder, look for the "progression" file and open it in the same way as "items."
At the very top, look for the line max_level="200" and change 200 to the desired value. Once you've made the change, close and save the file. And the game is now at the maximum level you set!
P.S. You must restart the game for all the changes to take effect!
