LOW VISIBILITY AUTOLAND AT SCHIPHOL | MSFS
Winter is here, which often is paired with heavy fog, due to the almost even temperatures and dew points. During the morning and evening, low visibility is a somewhat standard occurrence at Schiphol and the surrounding airfields in The Netherlands. Luckily, almost all runways at Schiphol are equipped with ILS systems, including CAT III, which provides pilots precise guidance to the runway, while having poor visuals. This also makes it possible for aircraft to perform an autoland. This is a short video which shows an autoland, however, if i did not see the approach lights or runway lights at the minimum height, i had to fly a missed approach, since this wasn't a CATIII C landing, which is the only category where you can perform an autoland, where no decision height is needed.
