💡Think of Amazon EFS as the only library on campus that is shared with faculties present on the same campus. Whenever faculty members borrow books from this library, it automatically shrinks. And whenever those books are returned to it, it automatically expands.
⚡️And that's exactly how Amazon EFS functions:
👉The library depicts Amazon EFS. Faculty students, each one is an EC2 instance (only Linux). Books borrowed and returned are the files or data shared back and forth. Each faculty is an Availability Zone (AZ). And university campus is the region including all the above.
