This video walks through installing VirtualBox on a Mac, downloading Oracle Linux ISO (x86_64 vs ARM/AArch64), and creating a new VM with selected RAM, CPU cores, and a 50GB virtual disk. It then shows booting the installer, choosing language and keyboard layout, selecting “Server with GUI,” setting timezone, creating a user with sudo (root disabled), and completing the installation and reboot. Afterward, we show improving usability by installing VirtualBox Guest Additions, switching to scaled mode for better screen sizing, running a sudo dnf upgrade to update packages, and customizing a few keyboard shortcuts in Settings, plus how to shut down and restart the VM.
