I donated this MacBook Air but before that I thought the new owner can enjoy it better with a bigger storage so I have installed OWC Aura Pro 1TB SSD.
The original SSD was close to end of life but surprisingly is still working. However, most probably it can go down anytime so this upgrade was a must. Also, in this video you will see the original SSD values after 9 years of usage and 0% availability and reliability.

Some info about Internet Recovery Mode
If your Mac is at least from late 2011 up and is running OSX 10.7 (Lion) or later, then you will be able to use Internet Recovery Mode with no adjustments.
If you have a Mac manufactured earlier, Apple has published an update:
"Some Macs that came with OS X Snow Leopard can use Internet Recovery after installing OS X Lion or later and a firmware update."
There is also an updated EFI Firmware ROM that can be downloaded (link at the end) and installed.
Afterwards, the following Macs can also use Internet Recovery Mode:
MacBook Air (11 and 13-inch from late 2010)
MacBook (13-inch from mid-2010)
MacBook Pro (13, 15 and 17-inch from mid-2010)
Mac mini (From mid-2010)
iMac (21.5 and 27-inch from mid-2010)
