I’m revisiting the Helix Stadium and this time I’m showing you the live gig tones I’m actually using.
I was pretty critical of the Stadium early on, mainly because I could see how much potential it had and didn’t want to see it wasted. But now I feel like it’s starting to come together properly, and for the first time I’ve got a set of tones on it that genuinely work for me on real gigs.
In this video I walk through my current:
• Clean tone
• Crunch rhythm tone
• Chorus tone
• Lead tone
These are the sounds I’m currently using as a covers guitarist, so the aim here is not “perfect studio presets” — it’s tones that feel right under the fingers, cover a lot of ground, and work in a proper live mix.
I’m using:
• the Princess/Princeton-style Agora amp
• the GSG100 for lead work
• snapshot-controlled boosts, EQ and effects
• a practical live setup designed for real-world gigging
If you’re already using the Helix Stadium, or thinking about buying one, this should give you a grounded look at how it can perform outside the usual demo environment.
If there’s enough interest, I’ll also put these tones into a Google Drive download and link them below.
There’s also a giveaway coming once the channel reaches a certain milestone, so subscribe if you want to know when that happens.
