Here's a video about how I grew my channel to 5000 subscribers. Like I say in the video, I feel like usually people give advice after they blow up. Sometimes that advice is outdated or they are so far removed from being a beginner that they don't give advice that is that applicable.
My hope is that around 10 or 20k I can make a similar video where I share the things that I did to get there. I'm not sure if the tactics I used to grow the channel from 0-5000 are the same ones that will get me to 10k but we'll see!
Making YouTube videos as a music producer or artist is something that I do recommend! To be successful as an artist, you usually need to create some sort of fanbase that cares about you and your music. I think that creating videos on YouTube gives you a chance to be more authentic and connect on a deeper level than on other short-form platforms. This plus the longer shelf-life of a single piece of content and the ability to grow on the platform organically makes it a great opportunity.
