You've probably already heard (or said) the following phrases:
"I can share my data, I have nothing to hide."
"Android is open-source, my data is protected."
Except that, in fact, no… your smartphone knows a lot about you, and shares a huge amount with Google (Android) or Apple (iOS). And even if you have nothing to hide, it's not in your best interest to give it away massively (privacy, security, addiction, profiling, etc.).
I'm going to introduce you to /e/OS (https://e.foundation/), an Android distribution created to respect your privacy:
removal of integrated Google services
open-source applications that respect your data
privacy-friendly or self-hosted cloud
It's all easy to access, compatible with a wide range of devices, and maintains maximum compatibility with all your services.
