In this video you will learn about the Data Subtotals with Visible Cells feature in Excel, including:
What the Data Subtotals feature is
What it does
How you can use it in a spreadsheet
How you can use the visible cells only option for copying to help copy a subtotalled list

Data Subtotal is a useful feature in Excel that can save you a lot of time. If you were to do what this feature does manually, it would take you a lot longer! This feature allows you to add subtotals into your data in a few quick steps rather than it taking you hours of work. It can be used for simplifying data and summarising it in a smart way. The only problem is normally if you want to copy just your subtotalled list, you can end up with all the 'hidden' rows too! So to overcome this, you can use the 'visible cells' option to just select the visible cells in your subtotalled list. We will now go through this for you in the video.
