Constellate: A UX Design Case Study
Co–Star, Self described as “…the astrology app that deciphers the mystery of human relations through NASA data and biting truth.” has played a key role in bringing people together through astrology with a sense of humor and healing.
With Co–Star expanding its offerings, our team became curious about the possibilities of bringing new and relevant features to participate in Co–Star’s growth.
Inspired by an interview with Co–Star CEO Banu Guler, we set out to answer this question:
“how do we use astrology as the springboard for a new kind of social network that’s really about connecting, not screaming at each other?”
Constellate is a new location-based social feature allowing users to cultivate connections by adding people to their personal constellation. Intended to create an anti-hostile social media environment, users connect through a feed of shared Co–Star content and discover astrology-backed connections to realize how connected with others they really are.
