TikTok live is one of the weirdest places on social media. And TikTokers are bringing that strangeness on a whole other level with NPC Roleplay. TikTok users are acting like Non Playable Characters and reciting call and response words for gifts with a adult undertone, these gift can then be turned into cold hard cash.
Pinky Doll has popularized NPC streams in which she impersonates video game characters by acting out various animations and responding when she gets a gift during the streams. She says a specific word or phrase or performs a particular action depending on the gift she gets resulting in bizarre word soup when taken out of context
Cherry Crush is another tick tocker who's gone viral for doing the same thing including pretending to eat when viewers send her food gifts.
One user wrote that they were afraid for humanity after watching a Cherry Crush stream while another wrote that they had never been more confused after watching a pinky doll live.
