Additional illumination significantly improves camera performance. Even a cheap Chinese endoscope produces an excellent image!
Why?
Because, despite its microscopic size, the endoscope camera has automatic white balance and sensitivity adjustments.
When it's dark, the camera increases sensitivity, and due to the microscopic size of the sensor, noise appears.
Noise not only reduces quality but also distorts color rendition.
Additional illumination completely solves all these issues.
IMPORTANT!
The proposed solution is a model, a prototype. It is by no means the final version.
I will make this illumination more robust and reliable.
