Thank you very much everyone for the excellent feedback of the previous Fox in the Snow video. One thing that was mentioned the most was that I should have added light to the fox when Magic mode is active. Well, so I did. And I went the extra mile and taught myself how to animate the Magic being painted by following the lines.
It's actually fairly trivial once you know what to do. The animated lines are a graident texture. I took the emissive texture of the fox and painted paths over it. The paths got a stroke with a gradient applied. Then in Unity I created a shader that basically overlays the gradient paths on the emissive texture. And that gradient's appearance is controlled using a script.
You can do all kinds of stuff with that, e. g. also have something like Godzilla when he powers up for his blast. It's a nice effect and adds a certain extra to the scene 😀
Also, I updated the camera to use CineMachine 3. It's really good. Smooth and easy to set up. And very versatily.
