Licensing expert Stephen Key interviews Aaron Krause, the massively successful entrepreneur who invented everyone's favorite sponge, Scrub Daddy. Since Aaron appeared on Shark Tank in 2012, he has sold more than 25 million Scrub Daddies and his company is worth upwards of US $170 million. Scrub Daddy now offers nearly 20 different products (a total of 34 SKUs) which is absolutely remarkable.
In this video, Aaron pulls back the curtain on what it's really like pitching on QVC, the home shopping channel. He's truly an expert, having done live pitches on QVC more than 280 times!! He keeps getting invited back to QVC because his new products and his pitching can't be beat. One time, he pitched on QVC 12 times in one day. Whoa. He discusses the value of watching yourself, the importance of believing in your product, and more. He clarifies that he's not acting; what comes across on camera is real passion.
Aaron is a big believer in intellectual property and has 28 patents to his name. He thinks of himself as an inventor and recently got involved with a new ice hockey stick company. He explains the deal he made and how he became a shark! He also describes what he calls "the most incredible thing he's ever invented." It's the world's most durable eraser product. Congratulations on another innovative product Aaron! It will be on the market in about a month.
