How to add the developer tab in Microsoft Word (Windows and Mac) [2021]
Developer tab opens up many advance Microsoft Word features like option to record/write & run macros, use Active-X controls & XML commands, etc. However, it is hidden by default and you need to add the developer tab manually to use the above advance features.
Steps to add developer tab in Word (Windows and Mac)
1. Open Word Options Windows
a) Windows: Right-click anywhere on Ribbon and click "Customize Ribbon"
b) Mac: Go to Microsoft Word → Preference and click “Ribbon & Toolbar” and click Ribbon Tab
2. Select “Main Tab” under Customize the Ribbon and check the box against “Developer” and click “Save” to apply changes and show Developer Tab.
