A bizarre sprite in Super Mario World is the first clue that takes us down an insane lore rabbit hole. Why did Luigi have green blood? What does it all mean? It turns out, Nintendo been building an incredible secret narrative about Luigi being an imposter. A story that expands across decades and multiple games. Is Luigi really Luigi? Or is he something more green... something gooey... Gooigi.
I'm actually starting to believe it myself. I'm going to be watching Luigi like a hawk for any goo-like behavior.
