Zaheer is currently the manager of safety, quality, and software product assurance for NASA’s Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA).
He has been involved in various roles, including Science and Mission Operations Laboratory supervisor for two years, where he built science instrumentation and the laboratory facilities before moving to a managerial position.
He is also a trained research Physicist with multiple patents and R&D 100 awards and over 40 authored or co-authored publications.
