SIP, H.323, & Interworking
On Expressway series servers, endpoints are able to register via SIP or H.323. So, in this video, I explain the different settings and options that are available in each case. However, because H.323 and SIP cannot natively talk to each other, you have to have a gateway in between them that can translate between the two protocols. We call that gateway the interworking gateway. I explain the three options that are available with interworking (on, off, and Registered Only), and the implications with each setting.
