COYOTE vs. ACME: The movie Acme didn't want you to see arrives in theaters September 2nd.
For generations of moviegoers, Wile E. Coyote was the most stubborn of dreamers. For decades, he chased the Road Runner without ever catching him, always falling victim to the most unlikely contraptions produced by Acme. Between explosions, cliffs, deranged rockets, and faulty inventions, he became one of the most universal, funniest, and romantic symbols of failure, but also, and above all, of perseverance. He never gives up.
Based on the short story "Coyote v. Acme" by Ian Frazier, published in The New Yorker in 1990, the film starts with a very simple question: what if Wile E. Coyote finally decided to hold Acme accountable for all those defective products? The answer is a sensational lawsuit against the company that for years has sold him rockets, traps, and gadgets as ingenious as they are disastrous.
AFTER YEARS OF CHASING, OVERCOMING OBSTACLES, AND FALLING INTO THE VOID, COYOTE IS BACK AND READY TO BLOW EVERYTHING UP!
Directed by Dave Green, written and produced by James Gunn, who co-wrote the story, Coyote vs. Acme is a hilarious comedy that blends live action and animation. Will Forte plays the lawyer who decides to help Willy in his legal battle, while John Cena plays the ambitious and ruthless legal defender of Acme.
The film also features all the iconic Looney Tunes characters: Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck in particular will play a prominent role in the story, supporting Willy in his incredible challenge.
Coyote vs. Acme brings two comebacks to the cinema: that of Willy against Acme, and that of a film that everyone thought was doomed, but which instead managed to make it to theaters.
That's all, folks! (for now)
