Enhancements to Adobe Camera Raw, version 18.4 - A Playground for future features in Lightroom
This week we cover some of the enhancements found in version 18.5 of Adobe Camera Raw. While these are important upgrades to ACR, I also want to stress that these enhancements are most likely going to be moved to Lightroom in the near future. This give us the ability to become familiar with these additions in ACR and become prepared in their use and application in Lightroom.
In this latest update Adobe has given us some great new features. While there have been number of improvements, I want to concentrate on the ones which will be used the most. Enhanced subject selection masking, masking edge refinement for Object masks, Projection distortion image correction, Bidirectional linear gradients, generative fill/expand/remove for transparent edges, interactive histogram, introduction of the vectorscope as well as speed improvements in the ACR denoise feature round out the list. I provide explanation and well as demos for all these upgrade improvements.
