Arys Oakheart while is amoung the main POV characters of the books only has a single chapter to his name. But it is key in setting up part of the Dornish Plot line from A Feast For Crows with his relationship with Princess Arianne Martell and her plot to crown Myrcella Baratheon as Queen. His death is very compelling with the impact his had for a character we only knew a little about. i also thing the showrunners of House Of The Dragon looked to Arys when fleshing out the character of Criston Cole.
