A long-awaited carnelian-picking trip to the river took place, despite the weather.

We'll stroll along a beautiful river and explore several pebbles. We encountered a variety of minerals today, but the finds were very pleasing. We managed to collect some nice carnelian, agate, jasper, and other interesting specimens that still need to be identified.

In this video, I was able to briefly demonstrate the difference between carnelian and quartz and explain how cleverly minerals can hide.

Of course, the most exciting thing was a large, honey-colored carnelian specimen resembling a meteorite and a large fragment of green-yellow jasper found in a river riffle.

I tried filming my search right above the pebbles, but upon reviewing the final footage, I still think I should have moved the camera even more slowly and filmed the wet stones better, so viewers could really see the shades and patterns.

The scenery was truly beautiful, with the greenery washed clean after the rain. The murmur of the river, accompanied by birdsong, and breathing in the scent of the forest, holding a sun-warmed gemstone in your hand—it was surreal. It was a refreshing experience, both in body and soul.

At the end of the video, I had to disturb the butterflies a bit, but the shot turned out Disney-like, so it was probably all worth it.

See you again!
